R&D Machine specializes in CNC machining of precision metal components for aerospace, defense, and space applications. Most of our parts have complicated geometries, are made of aluminum, and will be used above the Earth’s surface, in either our atmosphere or in outer space.

We have extensive 5-axis milling capabilities along with state-of-the-art Zeiss coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Using computer models of the customer parts, we expertly program both the cutting tool paths needed to machine these components and the CMM’s to automatically measure every dimension.

We are seeking a team-oriented candidate with strong CNC programming skills to develop programs and processes for tight tolerance, complicated, aerospace and defense parts. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards possible in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Day Shift (7:00am-3:30pm) Monday-Friday, overtime available
• Create new programs from beginning to end; including posted code, set-up documents, tooling information & fixturing, as well as modify and improve existing programs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Work with customers to provide machining expertise to ensure part can be manufactured in the most efficient way.
• Work with shop floor set-ups & quality personnel to support production and ensure parts meet all print requirements.
• Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality.
• Communicate well with co-workers.
• Follow safety protocols.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Complete criminal background check

Experience:

• Experience with programming software (Esprit preferred)
• Previous manufacturing experience required
• Experience with tight tolerance machining
• Experience machining a variety of materials (Aluminum, steel, titanium, plastics, etc.)
• Ability to program for 3, 4, & 5 axis mills, standard and live-tooling lathes.
• Previous experience with Haas mills & lathes preferred
• Microsoft Office experience

Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
