Position Overview: ACE Fire Protection is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Collections and Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the collections process, as well as handling accounts payable and receivable activities. Responsibilities:

Collections Management:Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage accounts receivable collections.
Contact customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve any outstanding issues or disputes.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment status.
Collaborate with internal departments, including sales and customer service, to address customer inquiries and resolve payment-related matters.
Monitor and manage delinquent accounts, initiating appropriate collection actions when necessary.

Accounts Receivable:Process and reconcile customer payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely manner.
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including cash receipts and adjustments.
Prepare periodic reports on accounts receivable status and aging for management review.

Accounts Payable:Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Obtain necessary approvals and process payments to vendors within established timelines.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding issues.
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records.
Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.

General Financial Support:Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Assist with financial data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department.
Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in regulations related to collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in collections, accounts payable, or accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
