A well-established waste management company located near Manalapan Township, NJ, is looking to add a Collections Specialist to their team. This Collections Specialist candidate will be responsible for the collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars, primarily that of a large existing client base, both residential and commercial. Other responsibilities will include the resolve of any billing problems with clients, the reduction of A/R delinquencies, and miscellaneous collections. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while reporting to his or her Collections Manager. Attention to detail is most welcome. Other responsibilities and requirements are as follows:

Responsibilities:
Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations.
Monitor open accounts for collection efforts.
Resolves client-billing problems and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.
Email/Mail correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
Take actions to encourage timely debit payments.
Process payments and credit requests
Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management.
Run reports for credit card declines, credit card expiration, delinquency letters, shut off, etc.
Any other job duties assigned
Work with operations, dispatch, and billing to resolve issues.

Requirements:
2+ Years of Credit & Collections Experience Required
Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
Self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks.
Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
Patience and ability to manage stress
Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required
