In this role, the Commercial Excellence Leader will work closely with Region, Product and Global Teams to architect a set of scalable frameworks, guidelines, and tools to drive optimal Commercial Excellence within USCAN. This will include process design, mapping & assessment, as well as identifying simplification & growth opportunities. The Commercial Excellence Leader will drive, activate, and support sustainment of regional priority initiatives. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and activate optimal commercial intensity programs across our United States and Canada region to optimize sales effort and reduce non-selling time burden, including:
- Partnership with the Commercial Operations and Excellence organization, Lean and Finance organization, and commercial leadership
- Effective activation of programs into the sales process of commercial teams, including testing effectiveness, collection of feedback, and incorporation of feedback into broader sustainment plans
- Integrate process and promote adoption of commercial analytics and tools amongst sales users to drive better user experience
- Enhance and support communication plans, operating mechanisms, and change management efforts to drive sustainable change
- Establishing program KPIs to identify trends, suggest focus areas, highlight actions needed to achieve target outcomes
- Lead Commercial Excellence engagements and workouts with Regional and Product Commercial Leaders (leveraging Lean framework) to:
- Improve market visibility (in partnership with strategy and marketing)
- Improve account conversion win rates, and share of wallet
- Connect process, tools, and infrastructure to drive sales force effectiveness
- Partner closely with Market General Managers and Business/Segment teams to develop and manage execution of programs driving opportunity funnel growth, backlog accuracy, and achievement of orders and revenue targets
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Finance, Supply Chain or Service position(s) in a matrixed business environment.
- Developing specialized knowledge of latest commercial developments and communication skills to influence others
- Has knowledge and experience in Commercial best practices and how to integrate with large commercial organizations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate cross functionally.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Data analysis preparation and presentation capabilities.
- Proficient in Excel and experience using reporting tools & commercial platforms (Salesforce, various analytics tools).
- Ability to work with and through high number of details and multiple priorities.
- Team-centric, service-minded, committed, passionate and inquisitive.
- Work time flexibility during quarter and year end.

The salary range for this position is $104,000- $130,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include health, welfare, retirement and paid leave.
