Job Summary/objective
The Sales Analyst will be responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of agent commissions. This role is a critical part of various process improvement initiatives related to commissions in this time of rapid growth and supports our broader finance and corporate initiatives.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Retrieve commission statements from various carriers using various methods
  • Prepare weekly and monthly commission files
  • Review data entries, calculations, and outputs with a high degree of detail to identify discrepancies and perform corrections and revisions timely
  • Summarize and submit commission calculations for review
  • Respond to field commission questions in a timely and effective manner
  • Track, research and resolve calculation-related inquiries and exceptions including disputes
  • Actively participate and contribute to the continual improvement of best practices and processes to enhance efficiencies and reduce risk of error
  • Support annual audit deliverables related to compensation payouts
  • Execute ad-hoc analytic requests
  • Develop a system to inform agents of chargebacks and determine the best approach to mitigate losses
  • Identify control weaknesses and recommend robust solutions
  • Identify different types of data that need tracking to improve business performance.
  • Generate easy-to-interpret reports based on collected data
  • Work with the management team to prioritize suggested changes to each business segment
  • Use statistical methods to identify areas for operational improvement and make suggestions for streamlining processes

Work with department managers to create data collection guidelines for internal use

Qualifications

  • Ability to work effectively with management and part of a team to meet targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to create presentations, reports, dashboards, and process documentation
  • Knowledge of insurance industry applications preferred
  • Previous experience with AgencyBloc or another agency management system a plus
  • High-level knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office (ie: Vlookups, Pivot tables)
