Leidos is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join a high-performing communications team in a public heath government agency to assist with outreach campaigns, event planning, and create content for internal and external communications. The ideal candidate will have experience with CMS and CRM software and email marketing. As a member of a highly collaborative communications team, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will work closely with the Strategic Communications Manager, internal customers, production colleagues, and subject matter experts.

We are looking for someone that is ideally local to the Washington, DC area. The position is telework friendly, but the person will need to travel into the customer site if needed from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create content for internal and external communications.
  • Perform event planning for both online and large-scale in-person events.
  • Coordinate with the web and social media teams on traffic analysis and multi-channel outreach efforts.

Basic Qualifications

  • US Citizenship in order to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • BA/BS required and 3+ years of experience in the workings of a communications office (media relations, events planning and publicity, publications development, social media, web/multimedia content development and marketing/advertising).
  • Working knowledge of social media management software and e-mail marketing platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated experience writing informative, engaging, and persuasive content. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff from entry level to subject matter experts and work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in digital marketing including executing campaigns, message development, analyzing metrics, and identifying trends.
  • Able to formulate new strategies and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Able to coordinate and implement ongoing communication strategies.
  • Ability to travel to customer site as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or public health knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience with content management solutions preferred.
  • Success with being a team player.
  • Self-starter, with ability to manage tasks and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $48,750.00 - $75,000.00 - $101,250.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
