Galen College of Nursing is looking for a creative and self-motivated communications expert to oversee internal and external communications for the College. The ideal candidate will possess remarkable writing talent with the ability to create, produce, and promote various types of content to support brand goals and build brand recognition. This role requires demonstrated experience in a breadth of channels with the ability to work independently while being a dynamic and enthusiastic team player.

• Execute strategic communications for employees, students, prospective students, alumni, and the community, that help further organizational goals
• Concept and write press releases and act as liaison for all press efforts
• Write and optimize content in marketing automation and lead nurturing platforms
• Collaborate with all campuses and internal cross-functional teams to produce relevant content
• Assist with the creation of marketing materials and collateral
• Work directly with digital marketing in the development of social media content
• Create internal communication protocols and initiatives that will foster Galen's culture
• Ensure brand consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all the content created
• Guide and encourage inter-departmental team members to communicate effectively and assist with communications where necessary
• Act as institution-wide brand guardian
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or related field
• 8+ years' experience in communications role
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications
• Impeccable attention to grammar and writing style quality, with the ability to shift voice and writing styles based on objectives and audience
• Experience producing content for press releases, websites, and social media platforms
• A dual-minded approach: You're highly creative and an excellent writer, but can also be process-driven and think scale
• Ability to identify strategy and communication needs requiring singular action, and that which is more complex, requiring an integrated approach
• Proven creative thinker who generates and executes innovative ideas with limited guidance
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task and manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced and complex environment
• Strong team spirit. We are looking for another creative, collaborative team member, with a positive attitude

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit at a desk for up to eight (8) hours. Some travel required
