Job Summary
As a Communications Coordinator and Copywriter for Chartwells Higher Education you will interact with associates and teams at all levels of the organization to assist them in their communications goals and strategies. You will assess and respond to requests that are often time sensitive, as well as be responsible for assisting in management of corporate and executive social media accounts with trending content that reflects our brand voice. This position is remote and may require some travel.
This is a REMOTE position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Copywrites and manages menu items listings ensuring spelling and description accuracy.- Creates copy for client-facing documents and industry conferences.
- Collaborates with sector communications and marketing leaders to help achieve business goals across the company.
- Assists in developing, implementing, and measuring digital strategies including, but not limited to, social media.
- Writing clear and error-free content that reflects our brand voice in a variety of media including but not limited to social, print, video, and online.
- Creating executive and leadership messaging, speeches, and social media content.
- Working with a variety of teams to edit and modify copy for communications such as weekly emails, organization announcements, press releases, and more.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management of social media platforms, including researching, creating, driving, and sharing content.
- Experience in creating and managing digital content.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years in related communications or public relations field experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of technology, trends, and best practices in social media is required.
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or a related degree is required.
- Excellent writing and editorial skills (including AP Style knowledge), and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar.
- Prior experience in writing journals or blog articles.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
