Apply to join the Ryan White team and help end the HIV Epidemic in Maricopa and Pinal County!
As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you will engage and elevate the voices of Ryan White clients to drive improvements in system design and quality of care. In this role, you will conduct focus groups with priority populations, assist with designing culturally appropriate needs assessments, engage diverse community members through social media, and develop quality improvement projects based on consumer feedback.

We Require
-
Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, public administration, business administration, public health, or a related field

One year of experience in coordinating and administering public programs and services
-
An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis

Experience with community engagement principles, theories, training methodologies, and survey tools

Experience with people living with HIV and familiarity with local Ryan White services.

The ability to communicate and effectively interact with people across cultures, ranges of ability, genders, ethnicities, and races and be able to apply cultural competence/cultural humility principles

Bilingual in Spanish and English
Job Contributions
-
Works under the direction of the Ryan White Quality Manager and collaboratively with the Ryan White Program Supervisors, and Ending the HIV Epidemic Program to ensure program compliance with all federal and state agencies, mainly related to consumer engagement

Creates opportunities for people with HIV to be meaningfully involved in quality improvement efforts, including but not limited to one-on-one coaching sessions, conducting focus groups with priority populations, and coordinating meetings and trainings with consumers

Works collaboratively with the Ending the HIV Epidemic Program to coordinate local outreach activities and social media strategy

Interacts with and provides support to people (ages 18 to 34) with HIV through the Positive Peers social media application tool

Develops and implements, with the support of the Ryan White Quality Management Team, quality improvement training geared towards empowering consumers to drive improvement efforts and development of priority population-specific improvement initiatives

Develops and implements ongoing consumer-focused communication strategies, including newsletters and social media outreach

Serves as consumer liaison and advocate regarding consumer satisfaction, including measuring and driving improvement in satisfaction with Ryan White
-
Provides guidance to the Quality Manager on the Ryan White Program Quality Management Plan and the plan’s implementation based on common lived experience and consumer feedback

Researches and assists writing public and private grant opportunities that focus on consumer engagement in HIV health activities
Working Conditions

The position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions

May exert up to 20 lbs. occasionally, 10 lbs. frequently, or negligible amounts constantly OR requires walking or standing to a significant degree

Must have the ability to travel occasionally for offsite meetings or outreach events within Maricopa and Pinal County

Ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends
