Minimum requirements include 2 years of property management leadership or similar experience with transferable skills. College degree and industry certifications are preferred but not required. In this role, you will be conducting licensed activities (such as quoting rents, showing apartments, etc) and as such, an Illinois Leasing or Broker’s License is required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Candidates who do not have a license will be required to attain one within 60 days of their start date or they will not be eligible to perform the job. Responsibilities include:
- Managing the property’s financial performance in accordance with the approved budget.
- Creating and delivering accurate and timely financial and operational performance reports.
- Hiring, training and inspiring a dedicated on-site team that works well together.
- Administering daily office operations including staff scheduling, lease approvals and performance management.
- Creating a welcoming environment for residents where customer service is the top priority.
- Creating a positive, motivating environment that encourages staff to meet or exceed expectations.
