We are seeking a dedicated Compliance and Operational Risk Testing Analyst II. This position is a hybrid work type and can be based in one of our following office locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Tampa, FL, Colorado Springs, CO, or Charlotte, NC.
Hybrid roles help employees gain the best of both worlds-collaborating in-person in the office and working from home when needed to achieve focused results with occasional business travel.
The team supports the execution of the ECORT Third-Party Testing Program including annual Direct Vendor, Line of Business Third-Party, and Enterprise Third-Party and Global Sourcing and Procurement Program Testing. This will be accomplished by leading the execution of the annual test plan. This will include testing activities of Direct Vendors, FLOD/SLOD control testing, governance, and/or Third-Party Line of Business oversight programs, and support the execution of ECORT testing initiatives that may be in response to meeting business needs, objectives, and/or regulatory commitments.
The incumbent will perform testing, compile, and retain well documented work papers to build accurate and concise written reports including issues, root cause and recommended corrective action.
The Opportunity
What you'll do:
Under guidance, develops the steps needed to test and/or analyze compliance with applicable laws/regulations and internal policies/procedures.
Assists in independent risk-based testing to ensure operational and compliance risk mitigation efforts are operating effectively and adhering to external requirements.
Completes assigned compliance and operational risk-based testing activities in accordance with established timelines and high standards of quality.
Prepares detailed and objective work papers to support conclusions.
Gathers information, analyzes data trends, identifies root causes, and provides information to the team.
Provides input for testing results/reports.
Builds, develops, and maintains relationships with the business and internal control partners (Audit, Risk & Compliance, Legal) to facilitate collaboration between all lines of defense for testing.
What you have:
Bachelor's degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree (6 years total experience).
2 or more years of relevant work experience (internal/external audit, operational risk/compliance testing, quality assurance).
Basic knowledge of testing techniques and data analysis principles.
Working knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
What sets you apart:
Third-Party Risk Management and/or Global Sourcing & Procurement within FLOD or SLOD.
Experience with testing, auditing, quality monitoring and/or quality assurance/ quality control background.
Exposure to Second line of defense testing, audit, and/or regulatory examinations, developing test scopes and creating tests scripts.
Relevant Compliance, Risk, and/or Third-Party designations (CRCM, CTPRP, etc.).

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. The salary range for this position is: $55,580 - $99,570 .
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
