Job Duties:

A CIT instructor is responsible for teaching a variety of CIT lecture/lab courses in a combination of face-to-face, online, and hybrid modalities.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, faculty workload includes: student advising; service on a variety of committees; community service; professional development; and various departmental activities that may include course development and evaluation, mentoring adjunct faculty, and student outcome assessment.

Minimum Qualifications:

CIT faculty must possess:

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a CIT-related field with 3+ years of industry experience or industry certifications, OR
• Bachelor’s degree in a CIT-related field with experience and/or certifications
• Willingness to pursue additional degree(s) and/or industry certifications as needed
• Willingness to work collaboratively on the development of quality course materials
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and the services provided by community colleges

Preferred Qualifications:

A successful candidate MAY possess…

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a CIT-related field
• 5+ years in industry experience
• Industry certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Security+, Net+, Cisco CCNA or Microsoft networking
  
• 3+ years of experience in adult education
