Solar Construction Supervisor will handle daily activities on the site to ensure a safe, efficient work environment. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining project documentation pre, during and post installation. The responsibilities include ensuring that the project stays within budget and scope, on schedule and to be able to pass all inspections. You will be responsible for working closely with the pre-construction manager, design engineer, subcontractors, engineers and vendors to ensure that all aspects of the construction process are managed effectively. This is a travel position including areas from
IL to MA. Installations will include both roof and ground mount to include mechanical and electrical installations.

Responsibilities will include
● Participate in sales hand off meetings, pre construction meetings, and construction handoff meetings giving feedback on schedule, labor, equipment, specs and BOM needs
● Read and fully understand the plan set and installation manual for all products being installed on the site
● Oversee project layout and installation with frequent QA/QC to ensure project is built to plan set specifications the first time and will pass all inspections
● Conduct frequent QA/QC inspections to ensure all work is to code
● Manage and correct quality control issues immediately
● Remedying any issues / delays / material shortfalls on site and finding and implementing solutions to problems that may arise
● Work closely with Subcontract Administrator managing and enforcing all subcontract agreements
● Partner with Procurement Manager to ensure BOM is secured, scheduled, and method of receipt
● Responsible for all deliveries arriving to site, coordinating traffic flow and unloading, checking all deliveries for completeness, accuracy and damage, and organizing and securing all equipment
● Ensure SSSP for each job is prepared to include JHA, tool box talks, and site specific training
● Responsible for all Legal requirements to be posted or available on site.
● Responsible for the safe handling of all heavy equipment on site and correct behavior of employees and subcontractors
● Maintain on-site communication with customer
● Managing all subcontractors, temp labor, and company labor on site
● Responsible for demonstrating a professional demeanor and ensuring all project personnel act professionally
● Run and document weekly safety meetings
● Run and document daily toolbox meetings
● Ensure OSHA compliance of both, company employees and subcontractors to include proper use of
PPE addressing any non compliance
● Ensure quality control and QC photos, checklists and punch lists are filed in a timely manner and all testing and terminations are recorded and complete
● Responsible for inspecting all aspects of the work to ensure compliance with all local, state, NYSERDA and federal codes and the plans and specifications and the contract documents
● Send progress reports to Project Manager each day including the status of the work, what subs were on site, what they did, what their hours were, what issues arose, how they were resolved, if any changes are needed, any delays expected, etc and representative pictures of the work product
● Responsible to ensure system is commissioned and customer is trained on its use
● Responsible to ensure monitoring system is commissioned on site and relay data to Design Specialist
● When not on site, Construction Foreman will be in office with team to improve construction processes
