POSITION OVERVIEW The Construction Manager for Archadeck of Raleigh-Durham is the standard bearer for the fit, finish, and quality of all Archadeck projects.
Working closely with our carpenters on site, the Construction Manager will ensure Archadeck Standards are met on every project, and crews and personnel conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism. Regularly collaborating with homeowners and the Production Team, the Construction Manager will monitor and report on the progress of each project, working diligently to anticipate delays and complications when they arise. The Construction Manager will be expected to consult with homeowners and building officials on a regular basis and will often serve as the face of the company for individuals outside of our organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Control day to day operations of construction, ensuring consistent adherence to established standards
  • Work with homeowners and crews to improve efficiencies and develop new processes
  • Provide guidance and instruction to carpenter crews on best practices for jobsite management and product installation
  • Inspect job sites to ensure they are clean and safe, processes are being followed, work is on schedule, and expected quality standards are being met
  • Provide the Production Team with regular updates on job progress and anticipated timelines
  • Attend the Weekly Production Meeting and provide updates on current job progress
  • Conduct Pre-Construction Meetings with homeowners and crews, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of the project scope, timeline, and necessary details
  • Provide feedback on product installations and material quality, and make recommendations to the sales team on best practices
  • Meet with Sales staff as needed to provide assistance and guidance on pricing estimates and specific structural elements
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 3 years of construction management experience is required
  • Project or Construction Management degree preferred but extensive, relative job experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • A high standard for customer service
  • Strong organizational skills that include the ability to multitask on several projects at once
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong desktop and mobile technology skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage and coordinate tradesmen
  • Must provide proof of auto insurance and a valid driver’s license
