Summary

CONSTRUCTION WORKER-GENERAL LABOR positions are available to join the Renewable Energy Division. These positions are located at our project in New Underwood near Rapid City, South Dakota.

Responsibilities include performing a variety of tasks involving physical laboring, and collaborate with supervisor and crew members. Seeking construction workers in renewable energy who are highly organized, detail oriented and looking to excel in a dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform variety of tasks involving physical labor at projects
• Survey and measure equipment and other equipment and instruments
• Operate hand and power tools; including: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments
• Dig trenches and appropriately set braces for excavation
• Assist in production goals and quality standards
• Ensure projects cleanliness, organization and electrical compliance
• Enforce Company safety practices and protocol
• Accurately complete daily timecard and other paperwork as required
• Other duties may be assigned.

Experience, Education & Skills

• 1 year of experience working in construction (preferred)
• Able to withhold 80% of worktime standing
• Able to work at various heights and confined spaces
• Be able to walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders, steps, scaffolds, forms and other means of access to work areas
• Be able to twist, stoop and bend frequently while maintaining sure-footedness and balance
• Willing able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds throughout the day
• Experience working on utility scale solar power plants desired
• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is a plus
• Additional training or certifications are helpful
• May be required 10 to 12 hours daily for 6 or 7 consecutive days for an extended periods of time

Working Conditions

· Construction Site Environment – Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
