Contractor role scope:

The Contract – Research Associate I position is an opportunity for an energetic researcher looking to join a small, fast-paced Molecular Biology group and support downstream protein production teams. As part of the Large-Scale molecular biology team, you will produce material used in both discovery and pre-clinical programs that use a variety of production cell systems for mAb and non-mAb therapeutics that require specific molecular biology techniques to prepare high quality plasmids at mg scale.

This is a 6-month Contract role located at our Andover, MA location, with a preference to be onsite 5 days per week. This is a unique production environment within a dynamic and expanding company. We are a highly automated company aimed to streamline wet lab techniques as well as data collation and analysis.

Requirements:

• BS degree, plus 0-2 years in biochemistry/molecular biology/BMEBT.
• Industry experience is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with bacterial cloning and plasmid purification strongly preferred.
• Automation experience (Biotage PhyPrep and/or General-Purpose Liquid Handlers) is preferred.
• Must be highly organized and maintain attention to detail.
• Must demonstrate strong communication to upstream and downstream team members to adhere to strict timelines.
• Experience with Sanger Sequencing. NGS is a plus.
• Experience with Benchling ELN is a plus.
