Contracts Manager - Remote, Commercial, FAR Job at QTC Management, Inc.
Job Summary:
QTC is seeking a Contracts Manager to draft and negotiate complex and simple contracts, manage contract processing from initiation to execution and beyond, provide guidance and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to bring contracts to a successful conclusion, develop and produce analyses and reports, manage insurance-related matters, post and maintain contract documents in the relevant databases, among other activities.
- This person will have commercial contracts and FAR experience. Remote options will be considered for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate complex and simple contracts in accordance with programmatic and prime
contract requirements, applicable laws, QTC/Leidos procedures, and good business practices. - Provide cross-functional guidance on contracts to ensure goods and services adequately support all
of QTC’s operations, programs, functions, and sites. - Manage and draft RFPs/RFQs/RFIs. Conduct market research to find potential vendors and
contractors and ensure best value for QTC. - Closely collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to bring contracts and procurements to a
successful conclusion. - Assess contract language and provide guidance to internal stakeholders on contractual requirements.
- Communicate contractual issues and statuses to senior leadership and take ownership over the
resolution of resultant action items. - Minimize contract revenue/value leakage and address contract risk.
- Manage, develop, draft, and update contracting and procurement templates, as needed.
- Develop and produce contract management reports and manage the contract lifecycle from cradle to
grave, including post-execution activities, renewals, and terminations, among others. - Manage company-wide workflow improvement projects, such as implementing contract management
systems and workflow improvement efforts. - Bring greater efficiency into current operations by identifying and analyzing existing roadblocks and
proposing potential solutions to internal stakeholders. - Manage insurance-related matters.
- Train stakeholders on contracting policies, procedures, and systems.
- Liaise with the relevant support departments, such as legal and insurance.
- Post and maintain contracting documents in contract lifecycle management systems.
- Basic training in QTC systems will be provided. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional who can utilize independent thinking and expertise to successfully work with stakeholders and manage the lifecycle of contracts without extensive additional training or supervision.
Competencies:
- Superior verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and government procurement
processes. - Knowledge of contract-related laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Superior analytical, planning and problem solving skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of routinely performing repetitive tasks with high degree of
accuracy. - Willing to work in a high-paced, high-volume, and paperless environment.
Education and/or Experience: (includes certificate & licenses)
- Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare or equivalent experience/combined education; Master’s
degree or J.D. degree highly desired. - 7 to 10 years of experience with all aspects of the contracts lifecycle, from initiation to performance
management to termination. - Experience with government and commercial contracting.
- Experience with commonly used business software required.
Pay and Benefits:
Salary range $100,500 - $141,000 (this range encompasses various geographic locations)
