The Project Controls Cost Specialist will work closely with the Project Controls Manager and Project Manager to implement, and control the overall cost from project conception to project completion.
The list below outlines the functional responsibilities of an employee(s) in this role, organized by each major project controls scope area.
Project Controls Cost Specialist works closely with the Project Control Manager and Project Manager in the overall cost management of the project- Weekly / Monthly preparation and review of cost reports
- Setting up cost codes and budgets for change orders / manage change orders
- Issuing of Subcontractor Change Orders and setting up payment
- Analyze project financial information
- Monthly financial forecasting
- Performs miscellaneous projects as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or required.
Experience & Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Business.- Construction experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience with construction applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail oriented, punctual, and work well within a team
