Duties and Responsibilities
A Cook prepares food using recipes and menu items. Helps keep the kitchen running smoothly. Some of their key duties and responsibilities include:
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers and snacks
- Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
- Washing and cleaning the kitchen and cooking utensils and storing the equipment at the end of shifts
- Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations
- Interact with other department staff, patients, and patients’ families
This is a healthcare facility. Therefore, Maine law requires that you must be vaccinated for COVID 19 and have had a flu shot within the past year. The facility also requires a TB test within the past year. If you do not have any of the required vaccines or a TB test, but you are willing to get one within a 1-2 weeks, you may still be considered for the role.

- Must comply with any dress code requirements.
- Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity.
- Background checks will be completed prior to employment
$19.00-23.00 an hour depending on role
Salary: Up to $23.00 per hour
Job Types: Part-time, Per diem- May potentially work into a permanent or full time role for the right candidate
