Cook - PRN Dining Services Team Member Job at Turning Point Care Center
Our Dining Services Team is responsible for:
- Daily preparation and presentation of all Turning Point meals.
- Reviewing menus and dietary orders daily to ensure patients receive proper diets as ordered by Physicians and/or Dietitian.
- Assists supervisor in the handling and ordering of food inventory and supplies.
- Preparing meals in accordance with Turning Point's approved menus, policies, and procedures.
- Adhering to state and federal food service guidelines.
- Working as a member of the Dining Services Team to ensure a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing dining environment for both patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required. (ServSafe certification is desirable.)
- Experience with food preparation techniques in a medical facility and/or commercial kitchen preferred.
- Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and handling of materials.
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Must be able to read and comprehend labels, instructions, and manuals.
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential job function; reliable transportation is required.
- The position works on an as-needed basis and could be scheduled to work weekends and holidays.
- Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served 7 days a week at our facilities.
