TITLE: Extended Learning Program REPORTS TO: Extended Learning Coordinator Administrator DEPARTMENT: District Office CLASSIFICATION: Classified Management BOARD APPROVAL: September 20, 2022 WORK YEAR: 225 Days SALARY: To Be Added to Classified Supervisory Pay Scale- Pay level of Transportation Supervisor DEFINITION: The Expanded Learning Program Coordinator position is responsible to the Associate Superintendent and works under the direct supervision of the Extended Learning Department Administrator. The Expanded Learning Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the oversight of Extended Learning Programs district-wide, following state and federal funding guidelines for the program(s). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.) ● Provide regular ongoing support and assistance to district extended learning programs ● Conduct visits to program sites. ● Disseminate Expanded Learning Program-related information and guidance from CDE. ● Complete and submit required compliance reports to CDE. ● Support the planning, development, and implementation of all before and after school Expanded Learning Programs and activities for participating sites. ● Serve as a liaison to schools and partners in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Expanded Learning programs and activities. ● Support stakeholder and program meetings with staff, district management, community representatives, and agency partners. ● Coordinate the marketing and promotion of Extended Learning Programs with the community and staff. ● Coordinate training, communication, service delivery, and data collection with designated program sites, district personnel, and collaborative agencies. ● Coordinate data collection for program evaluation, assist in the preparation of reports and make programmatic recommendations based on evaluation outcomes. ● Assist in the monitoring, and maintain program budget, meeting district accounting and budgetary requirements. ● Monitor all attendance records and financial accounts to ensure fiscal accountability. ● Analyze and project student ADAfor Extended Learning Programs. ● Assist in the preparation of and submit district, state, and federal reports. ● Help prepare information for district and state auditors. ● Assist in the recruitment of qualified Expanded Learning Program staff. ● Train and supervise Extended Learning Program staff. ● Conduct program visits and observations on a regular basis. ● Work on Saturdays for programs such as STEAM,Sports, and Attendance Recovery. ● Plan and conduct parent/community meetings ● Perform other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: ● Ability to work on a flexible schedule ● Operate a variety of office equipment, including but not limited to a computer and assigned software applications ● Ability to participate in after-hours meetings and emergency calls ● Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of users and maintain a high level of professionalism making the needs of students, families and staff a top priority. ● Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical personnel. ● Perform related duties as assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: ● Bachelor’s degree. ● Possess a valid California Driver’s License and evidence of insurability ● Personal Characteristics: Demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills; ability to work effectively with staff and public; responsive to personnel needs. ● CPR and First Aid required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: ● Experience in staff training ● History of successful leadership in student enrichment programs ● Experience in K-12 educational settings ● Job related experience with increased responsibility is desired. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: ● Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish and English
