Job Requirements:


The Corporate Communications Manager supports the Corporate Communications team to communicate the Company’s value proposition with the ultimate aim of communicating with customers to achieve business growth, engaging employees to build a strong performance-driven culture, and driving shareholder interest through stakeholder communications. The position requires managing communication initiatives for internal customers and special projects for Corporate Communications and the Executive Leadership Team. In addition, this position supports writing and distributing news releases with a special concentration on trade and business press interaction, as well as maintaining content distribution through the Company’s multiple social media channels. The candidate should communicate clearly, be strategic and creative, show initiative, have good judgment, and be detail-oriented.


Duties & Responsibilities

OPERATIONAL CAPABILTY
Corporate Communications
  • Develops strategic communications for internal functional departments including HSSE, Compliance, Legal, HR, Investor Relations, Quality, Supply and Manufacturing, and IT. This includes crafting strategic messaging to advance their business objectives and generating awareness and engagement across the organization. Special focus in developing creative ways for communicating business continuity messaging (i.e., process changes, organizational structure updates, policies, etc.) to the organization.
  • Supports Sr. Communications Director with external communication activities, such as trade media engagement outreach, editorial submissons, quarterly earnings scripting and press releases, executive speaker opportunities, etc.
  • Manages Corporate Communications content (emails, app posts, banners, etc.) across multiple internal platforms, including the employee communications app (hosted on FirstUp) and the Company Intranet.
  • Anaysis of data for employee communications app and provide recommendations to increase readership, adoption, time on page, etc.
  • Is a champion for advancing a strong, corporate culture by integrating values and core messaging into our communications as well as coming up with ideas to connect our global workforce to our mission.
  • Reviews and updates certain web and intranet content pertaining to Communications.
  • Creates content for the Company’s press releases, proxy statement, annual report, and sustainability report.
  • Partners with the team to enhance social media strategies and engagement, including drafting content.
  • In cooperation with the Digital Media Specialist, explore options to enhance event effectiveness, including innovative use of digital/social technologies to enhance awareness, networking, and participation.
  • Supports development, communication, and enforcement of communication standards throughout the Company.

Experience:

Experience & Education


  • 6 years of proven experience in communications, preferably with a corporate or agency environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in degree in communications, public relations, marketing, business, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in technical writing and content development

PREFFERED
  • Experience within a large, multi-national, matrix business-to-business organization.
  • Media relations and/or significant video production experience (writing, directing, etc.) ideal.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities


REQUIRED

  • Ability to execute communications plans.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills, including the ability to proof content before it is published to internal and external channels.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. This includes the ability to work and deliver on tight deadlines.
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-driven with a positive attitude. Maintaining flexibility and collaboration are essential. We are a very collaborative team!
  • Familiarity with basic communications strategies and tactics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience or proficiency in Adobe is a plus.
  • Ability to balance research, strategy, planning, and execution
