Job Title: Corporate Communications Specialist
Pay Rate: $42-$45/hour
Duration: 4 months contract, can extend as needed.
Location: San Diego CA (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days work from home)

About the Job

Client is looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist to join us on a temporary contract basis. This temporary position will provide internal and external communications support to the company’s Corporate Communications function. This work includes sourcing, writing, and editing content for company’s social media channels and intranet as well as the monitoring of those channels. Responsibilities include:

External:

• Execute a results-driven social media strategy, working closely with Director of Corporate Communications to maintain social media editorial calendar.
• Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
• Assist in the sourcing, creation, curation, and editing of written, video, and photo content.
• Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
• Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
• Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.

Internal:

• Monitor user-generated content for appropriateness and enforce content guidelines and governance under the direction of Director of Corporate Communications and intranet working group.
• Supports in maintaining editorial calendar and crafting content in collaboration with Corporate Communications team and intranet working group.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, Journalism or related field
• Experience working in a corporate environment.
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills required.
• Experience with Canva.
• Experience with Photoshop/Illustrator/Premiere Proa plus.
• Ability to run multiple projects and meet deliverables.
• Preferred- Possess basic graphic design and video editing skills to help create compelling graphics/visuals and short videos that aid in the communications listed above.
• Position is a minimum of four months but could extended as needed, up to one year.

Nice to have

• Video editing.

Compensation for roles at Suna Solutions varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific client, office or remote location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Suna Solutions provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Suna Solutions reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington.
