Cobrand and Network Partnerships - Chase is the #1 U.S. credit card issuer and has been in the cobrand partnership business for more than 35 years. As the leader in cobrand credit cards, Chase is honored to work with partners who are leaders in their respective categories like Amazon, Disney, United, Starbucks, Marriot, and Southwest. The Cobrand and Network Partnerships team is responsible for end-to-end negotiations with its existing partners, future prospects, and the major payment networks (Visa & Mastercard). Establishing these cobrand and network partnerships requires thoughtful strategic consideration, strong analytical capabilities, creative problem-solving skills, and empathy. We are looking for bright experienced individuals, preferably from a major consulting or financial services company, to support the executive team, participate in negotiations, and regularly update Chase's senior management.
Consumer Benefits/Strategic Partnerships - Chase continues to expand its benefits and services to assist its customers. We are looking for a charismatic, experienced individual to scale our partnership efforts. This person would serve as both a point of contact in strategic deal negotiations and provide thought leadership across the consumer benefits space.
Home Lending/Auto - Chase is a leader in Auto finance and Home Lending. We strive to build differentiated solutions to serve our 60+ million customers. The Auto finance team works with leading auto manufacturers, as well as online and retail dealers to provide customers with a full spectrum of financial products to meet their car buying needs. In Home Lending, Chase provides mortgages directly, and indirectly, to consumers. Travel - Chase is on a journey to become a top reseller of travel within the next 2-3 years. We are looking to secure partnerships that provide differentiated travel solutions across our portfolio of card, banking, and private wealth management customers. In this role, you will work with a team of executives tasked with developing the overarching travel strategy for the firm.
Digital Payments & Commerce - The Digital Partnerships team is responsible for digital banking and payments partnerships for Chase's consumer businesses. The team has three primary functions: 1) determine the partnership strategies for large tech platforms and fintechs, 2) evaluate, negotiate and execute banking and payments partnerships, and 3) manage ongoing relationships with large tech platforms externally and firmwide. The Digital Partnerships individual will work closely with the leaders of Chase's Digital organization as well as consumer businesses to evaluate how the financial ecosystem is changing, assess the implications for Chase, and determine what partnerships will deliver value for Chase's customers.
Consumer Bank and Business Banking - Chase for Business offers a variety of solutions for business owners. Our solutions include: business checking and savings to manage cash flow to business loans, lines of credit to make major purchases, and online tools to manage a small business. We are looking for experienced individuals to scale our partnership efforts. This person would serve as a lead on strategic deal negotiations and also providing thought leadership to the Consumer Bank and Business Banking teams. Experience with fintech companies and prior deal experience strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally within Chase and JPMC and with external partners to identify, negotiate, and execute key partnerships that develop business results and support the business strategy
- Collaboratively develop partnership strategy with the lines of business, including identifying key elements of the strategy, completing analysis, and making recommendation
- Develop and help deliver specific partner proposals with the lines of business, including overall vision, partnership economics, and product integration
- Work in conjunction with finance, legal and other functional partners to develop financial business case, deal constructs and other key terms associated with partnership
- Monitor external environment for important developments and potential partnership opportunities and communicate more broadly to key line of business partners as necessary
- Ensure all deals and business development is executed in accordance with policies, controls, key functional partners, and Corporate Development procedures
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Minimum 2-3 years industry experience, preferably across financial services/banking
- BS degree or equivalent experience required
- You will have significant partnership, strategic alliance, or deal execution experience
- You will have experience formulating business strategy, including structuring problems, completing analysis, and making recommendations
- You will have project management experience in a cross-functional environment
- You will have the ability to work independently and quickly adapt to new or ambiguous situations without significant assistance
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate to senior internal and external stakeholders
