The group interacts with many groups across the firm to accomplish these objectives- Product Controllers, Financial Controllers, Risk Management, Operations, Legal and Compliance, Internal Audit and occasionally directly with the front office. The Regulatory Reporting team also serves as the liaison for all regulatory examinations and inquires ( Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ( FINRA), Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC), Chicago Mercantile Exchange ( CME), National Futures Association ( NFA) and also is a primary contact for our external auditors, Price Waterhouse Coopers(PwC)
Job responsibilities:
- Prepare various J.P. Morgan Securities/ J.P. Morgan Prime Inc. (JPMS/JPMPM) 15c3-1 Net Capital and at times involved with the 15c3-3 Customer Reserve computations
- Work on several projects, both internal and externally with auditors and regulators
- Develop and maintain extensive working relationships internally and with auditors and regulators will be essential
- Demonstrate at times strong analytical and problem solving skills and leverage his/her network to deliver results
- Candidate will need to be comfortable digging into the details of issues and able to present them to peers and management
- Demonstrate early issue identification and appropriate escalation and response are important
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Knowledge of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Rule 15c3-1 & 15c3-3 a plus
- General understanding of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
- General product knowledge
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience with Market/Credit Risk exposure reporting a plus
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Well organized; ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Experience dealing with regulators and auditors ( Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ( FINRA), Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC), Chicago Mercantile Exchange ( CME), National Futures Association (NFA), Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), etc.) a plus
- Experience in preparing and filing various regulatory reports such as (Financial and Operational Combined Uniform Single Report (FOCUS), Supplemental Statement of Income (SSOI), Derivatives and other Off Balance-Sheet (OBS), etc.) a plus
