Corporate Strategy Analyst

Bechtel’s Corporate Planning group leads enterprise-level financial forecasting and reporting, strategy development and supports executive decision making. The Corporate Strategy Analyst supports various projects that assist executive decisions and help shape the company's future.

Position Summary Responsibilities:

• Supports a broad range of strategy projects
• Undertakes research and gathers quantitative and qualitative information from a variety of sources
• Analyzes macro and industry trends and dynamics
• Prepares presentations and reports to communicate analysis and recommendations
• Identifies performance trends, risks, and opportunities
• Performs ad hoc financial and strategic analysis as requested
• Consistently improves the quality of deliverables
• Collaborates and builds relationships with team and other stakeholders
• Reports to the Manager of Corporate Planning

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field of study preferred

Work Experience (Level I)

• At least one year of professional experience in accounting, finance, consulting, strategy, or project controls
• Experience in the engineering, construction, banking, or consulting industries preferred

Work Experience (Level II)

• At least three years of professional experience in accounting, finance, consulting, strategy, or project controls
• Experience in the engineering, construction, banking, or consulting industries preferred

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and written and oral communication skills
• High aptitude for learning quickly and assimilating information into concise summaries
• Demonstrates curiosity, self-learning, and complex problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with cross-functional and distributed teams
• Demonstrates honesty and integrity
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy

• Must be able to solve practical problems
• Experience with financial analysis preferred
• Clear and direct verbal and written communication skills

• Experience creating PowerPoint presentations and Word documents
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
