Costume Shop Overhire
Steppenwolf Theatre Company is seeking applications for temporary overhire positions in the Costume Shop. This is a rolling application: applicants will be considered for various projects as needed throughout the 2022/2023 Season.
This position reports to the Costume Shop Director.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Costume Technicians: Work in a team environment to build and alter a wide variety of costumes for Steppenwolf and outside projects.
- Costume Assistants: Work in a team environment to realize costume design for Steppenwolf and outside projects. Duties may include but are not limited to paperwork, shopping, organizing fittings, sourcing, and pulling from stock.
Desired Qualifications:
- Good time management and organization.
- Strong verbal communication.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Hand and machine sewing. (technicians only)
