Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is in search of a Creative Social Strategist to oversee the building and evolution of @IBM presence across all social platforms. Inclusive of product, culture, and business priorities.

As part of the Global Social team you are responsible for translating our brand story across the @IBM social channels- adapting per platform, audience, internal priorities, and culture.

In this position you will play two key roles- building informed (by business, research, and culture) net new creative social strategies in partnership with teammates and driving through to execution and measurement; AND helping to manage creative agency resources- from brief to project management to execution.
Job responsibilities include:

Social Strategy:
  • Develop and implement social media strategies that align with the organization’s marketing and communications objectives. This involves understanding key platform strengths, researching audience, building a strategy, pitch, and supporting tactics.
  • Monitor and measure social media performance. Analyze data and use it to optimize social media strategy over time.
  • Stay up to date on social media trends and best practices across all key platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok) . Knowledgeable about emerging platforms (TikTok and beyond) and tools in order to provide feedback and adapt content while building tactical plans.
  • You have a keen understanding of how to connect business priorities to culture through intentional social storytelling.
  • Build relationships with key platform partners to remain up-to-date and a point person for social in the broader org.
  • Manage internal stakeholders invested in campaign specific plans

Creative Resource Management:
  • Provide confident feedback on creative, copy, and social strategy to internal creative resources and agency.
  • Play ownership role in managing creative resources during pivotal marquis brand moments- from briefing, project management, creative feedback, stakeholder management, and execution.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in social media, either in house or at an agency.
  • Experience as a project manager, and owning/executing a strategic project from start to finish.
  • Experience working with creative agency & creative resources.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience building compelling social and marketing strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of social media landscape from a brand POV and ability to advise accordingly .
  • Experience managing global cross-discipline stakeholders

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Working knowledge of project management tools such as Slack, Trello, Airtable and Box.
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools. Knowledge of Sprinklr and Khoros is a plus.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
