Job Summary
Wolfspeed’s Materials Expansion Team is seeking a Crystal Growth Tool Build Shop Manager. The person in this role oversees the CG Tool Build Shop for the assembly of the tools that are used in the Crystal Growth process. Oversees technicians that assemble the production equipment to ensure that they meet company standards. Establishes and maintains operating procedures and work instructions for the tool build shop. Manages training programs to ensure proper assembly of the equipment. Works with suppliers, vendors and buyers to ensure material availability. Manages the purchasing and inventory management of all materials for tool builds. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the area.
This posting is for a position that will directly support operations at the John Palmour Manufacturing Center for Silicon Carbide, our expansion site in Siler City, NC. The person in this role will train at our Durham, NC headquarters initially.
The Day-to-Day:

Manage the assembly and delivery of custom-built equipment used in the Crystal Growth process.

Interfaces with the Crystal Growth tool install team to manage the delivery of assembled tools based on the schedule.

Screen and select candidates for the team to fulfill ramp and attrition requirements.

Manage area budget goals and capital project spending.

Support and influence 5S methodology, ensuring the workplace is clean, uncluttered, safe and well organized to reduce waste and optimize productivity

Work closely with process engineering and production staff to improve overall quality metrics.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

At least 8 years of experience in semiconductor support/repair services

Understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment in fabrication
This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
