Key Responsibilities:

• Follow/Implement our Association Quality Standards and 9 Dimensions of Well Being into Youth Programming and Staff Development.

• Prepare class lesson plans with natural progression that relate to the abilities and ages of the classes being taught as well as reflect YMCA mission, core values and including 5210.
• Provide lesson plans, supply list, and budget to Arts Director as requested.
• Adapt lesson plans and class delivery to YMCA facilities.
• Effectively communicate program information and student progress as needed.
• Monitor student progress in all culinary arts classes. Report back to Arts Director frequently around class updates, staff development and member experience.
• Attend arts staff trainings and meetings as required.

Are you a good fit?*

• You are committed to valuing and promoting diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
• You have 5 years of technical culinary arts training.
• You have 1-2 years of experience in culinary arts as a teacher and/or teaching assistant.
• You are able to instruct beginning and intermediate level classes.
• You are excited to teach culinary arts classes for ages preschool through adult.
• You have a current food hander permit or will have by the first day.
• Able and willing to complete Child Abuse Prevention training and other online or in-person training as required.

Wage: $15.74 - $17.74 Hourly depending on experience
Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
