Job Responsibilities:

• Lead QRCM teams in non-reversible corrective actions including help to design and prevent defects from occurring
• Work on Advanced Product Quality Planning including Process FMEA, Process Control Plan, and inspection instructions and preparing PPAP submission documents to customer
• Will assist in training of new Quality Technicians or Auditors deployed to specific areas
• Assist in problem solving with supplier for product identified as nonconforming and support supplier development activities
• Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation, including testing frequencies for CMM
• Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing of product
• Compiles and writes training material, work instructions, and conducts training sessions for quality control and assurance activities
• Implement and monitor statistical process control activity as required by the customer and internal requirements
• Involvement in continuous improvement activities
• Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel via e-mail, face-to-face communication, and/or phone communication
• Work in fast paced manufacturing environment, handle multiple project at the same time
• Visit customer sites as required for resolution of quality and/or related issues including assist in new product launches, quality problems, and/or implementation of new product changes
• Supervisory and/or guide role over quality technicians and auditors
• Act as back-up for CMM Operator as needed
• Must be willing to travel 15-20% to visit customers regarding reported quality escapes/issues

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of quality engineering experience in automotive manufacturing environment required
• Experienced in requirements and implementation of IATF16949 required
• GD&T experience required
• CMM Machine operating experience will be a plus
• Ability to effectively present information
