Summary/Objective:

You will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our valued clients. In addition, you will recommend technical solutions to a varied industrial customer base, support outside sales, and generate quotes. The candidate must have a positive attitude, be a good communicator and have the technical skills to provide timely & accurate solutions to customers’ applications. Candidate must be a detail-oriented problem solver and a positive team player.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain and cultivate positive customer relationships
  • Provide price and availability on any standard or specialty items directly to customers
  • Take and solicit orders from customers over the phone and via email
  • Process orders, via order entry system, from our stock or directly source from suppliers
  • Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers
  • Follow up on orders to assure critical deliveries
  • Resolve any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customer and suppliers
  • Assist with customer and third-party portals
  • Assist with submittal packages for projects
  • Handle all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner
  • Work in concert with our outside sales team and funnel leads/opportunities to the sales team
  • Resolve product issues or determine product needs over the phone or via email

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as desktop/laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus . This would require the ability to lift up to 15 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, and sit, as necessary.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong mechanical aptitude a plus
