The role of the Applications Specialist is to provide support to end users on the ERP system and other business applications. They will act as a technology leader and advisor to multiple departments across the company, working closely with other UPM team members to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of current processes. The Applications Specialist will be exposed to all levels of UPM procedure, from detailed order entry to large-scale strategic initiatives, providing opportunities to participate in major business improvement projects and grow in knowledge of both business and IT processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with supervisors, systems analysts, programmers, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, and interfaces with other systems to create solutions that address business requirements
• Assisting in testing with Stratix and Power BI reporting
• Creating documentation of ERP processes
• Working closely with other IT team members to effectively support end users, including data analysts and developers
• Providing timely and professional technical support and assistance to end users across locations and departments
• Supporting improvement initiatives involving business applications
• Meeting with management on the specifics of projects, new technologies, and project deadlines
• Ability to multitask and effectively evaluate level of urgency

Skills Required:

• Bachelors Degree and 5 years relevant experience and/or training.

• Expert in utilizing and interpreting analytical software.

• Familiar with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc…

• Willingness to participate in training and certification in other areas.
