DIVISIONS AND JOB FUNCTIONS
Consumer , externally known as Marcus by Goldman Sachs, is comprised of the firm’s digitally-led consumer businesses, which include our deposits and lending businesses, as well as our personal financial management app, Clarity Money. Consumer combines the strength and heritage of a 150-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. Through the use of machine learning and intuitive design, we provide customers with powerful tools that are grounded in value, transparency and simplicity to help them make smarter decisions about money
- Pricing & Analytics performs advanced analytics to drive marketing strategy decisions
- Business Analytics team is responsible for uncovering and sharing insights and opportunities across different business areas with the goal of driving growth and P&L performance
- Business Controls supports all of the Marcus US Deposits Risk Management and Control Functions, interfacing with other functions, supporting the business. The team plays a vital role in managing first line of defense, operational risk and business controls.
- Collection supports the design, delivery, and manages our loss mitigation operations strategy and operations within the Consumer Digital Finance team
- Workforce Management (WFM) is a specialist team ensuring adequate coverage for the business operation, by partnering with business stakeholders and operation management team to resolve critical workforce management gaps and continue to polish the policy.
Global Markets Division enables our clients to buy and sell financial products, raise funding and manage risk. We make markets and facilitate client transactions in fixed income, equity, currency and commodity products. In addition, we make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis
- Equities teams transact in stocks and other equity-related products, including convertible securities, options, and futures. Their work includes financing, securities lending, and other services for institutional investors.
- Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities teams transact in a variety of assets, including interest rate products (such as government bonds, treasury bills, and other highly liquid instruments), credit products, mortgages, currencies, and commodities

Internal Audit assesses the firm’s internal control structure, advises management on developing control solutions, and monitors the implementation of these measures. Working in this department means you’ll be providing reasonable assurance that financial reporting is reliable, there is compliance with applicable laws and regulations and the firm’s operations are effectively controlled.

Risk aims to effectively identify, monitor, evaluate and manage the firm’s financial and operational risks - including reputational risk - in support of the firm’s strategic plan. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree (2019 – 2023)
- 0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field.
- Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businesses
- Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
- Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders
