This position is designated as work-from-home.

Description

As a Data Management subject matter expert with Synergy, you will join the team supporting the mission of the Officer of the Chief Information Officer for a Federal government agency. The candidate will work with the customer’s Data Services team to grow and manage their utilization of the Snowflake cloud data warehouse.

Essential Functions & Duties

  • Manage new tenant requests, including intake of demands for services and requirements gathering
  • Define solutions, estimate costs, and present to customers for acceptance
  • Setup new Snowflake data warehouses and onboard tenants
  • Manage and track tenant consumption to handle chargeback to customers
  • Implement enhancements as requested and perform general operations and maintenance
  • Perform account management, including new user creation, existing user deletion, and permissions
  • Manage the platform across multiple non-production environments as well as within production
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for tenant onboarding and account management
  • Coordinate across multiple operations teams (e.g., Cloud Services) to manage the solution

Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates

Required

  • Experience with the Snowflake cloud data warehouse
  • Ability to create new Snowflake data warehouses
  • Understanding of database schemas and objects, data ingestion, database development, and stored procedures
  • Ability to execute scripts to manually deploy across environment (i.e., Dev, Test, Stage, Production)
  • Familiarity with DevSevOps to automate deployment (e.g., using Jenkins or GitLab)
  • Knowledge of AWS services including but not limited to Lambda and S3
  • Familiarity with using a service management platform (e.g., ServiceNow) for handling tenant and user requests
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Ability to execute in a remote work environment

Desired

  • Experience working with Snowpipe for data loading
  • Experience with Federal government customers

Preferred Certifications

  • SnowPro Certification Core
  • SnowPro Advanced Architect Certification

Citizenship or Work Authorization Required: US Citizen

Location: Remote

Preferred Education & Experience: 6 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management (IM), Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent.
