Marsh a global leader in insurance broking and risk management is seeking candidates for our Data Project Manager position to join our Marsh Data Services (MDS) team serving the Operations and Technology business. This is a hybrid role and will require 2-3 days in office. This role can be based in multiple locations.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Create and execute on an intake process for new work on delivering data capabilities – including projects, small changes/enhancements, defects/bugs and other requests
• Develop and maintain program and project plans for delivery of data, analytics, and reporting functionality across a variety of constituent groups
• Create communication plan for activities and drive communication on Marsh Data Services activities, questions, priorities, and decisions
• Understands the impact of scope changes and adjusts project plans and communicates accordingly
• Capture, record, and manage risks, issues, and decisions related to delivery of data capabilities
• Support various Operations and Technology, business, and operations teams in defining outcomes needed and dependencies with business process, people, applications, and other components
• Coordinates assessment of project proposals of high complexity and ambiguous parameters, validate project requirements,
• Liaise with transformation office and program management constituents, create content and presentations necessary to surface MDS activities
• Coordinates and runs program, work stream, and project meetings - documenting and following up on actions and risks identified from the meetings
• Coordinate resource requirements across constituent groups
• Create work status, progress, and activity reporting

What you need to have:

• 8+ years’ experience as a program and/or project manager
• Project management experience in a multi-cultural and multi-site environment
• Demonstrated ability in driving large-scale transformation projects - must have had large scale project implementation experience
• A strong willingness to learn a new domain-getting into its deepest details and being hands-on.
• Experience operating independently but also knowing when to ask for help.
• Ability to think creatively (vs. by rote) to move forward on complex problems

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills leveraging both traditional (e.g. Office; Teams) tools as well as software lifecycle tools (e.g. Jira)

• A deep appreciation for all things data—its role, impact, challenges, and potential with an organization.
• Experience executing on data management and integration projects, understanding of data transformation and management concepts
• Understanding of business process design and systems change management
• PMP or similar certification
• Experience in Agile methodology preferred
