Datacenter/Lab Technician Job at LOCKHEED MARTIN CORPORATION
The successful candidate will will serve as a member of the NSCC Data Center Lab Technical team in Moorestown, NJ.
Daily tasks and responsibilities will be in support of the Program Generation Center (PGC) Datacenter, Mission Systems Engineering Center and its Laboratory environments.
Specifically, the candidate will provide Technical support to the development labs and ensure customer requirements across the various configurations and special project evolutions are met.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Daily tasks and responsibilities will be in support of the Program Generation Center (PGC) Datacenter, Mission Systems Engineering Center and its Laboratory environments.
Specifically, the candidate will provide Technical support to the development labs and ensure customer requirements across the various configurations and special project evolutions are met.
Tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing equipment (hardware) installation, de-installation, Rack and Stack of datacenter, development and lab equipment and related configurations.
- Provide multilevel technical support for integration of Lab Environments, testbeds and commercial equivalent equipment. Interface with test engineers, the engineering design support group, System Architects, Lab Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide preventative & corrective maintenance support, troubleshooting, of datacenter, development and lab equipment.
- Assist in the procurement, delivery, installation and testing of datacenter, development and lab equipment as well as assisting in management of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
- Utilize facility hotline process to track and assign technical support for the prompt investigation and resolution of tactical hardware problems/failures.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a datacenter environment, or development lab setting, familiar with hardware types and relevant technologies used
- Basic understanding of network appliances, storage, rack layouts and purposes thereof
- Experience using common technician's hand tools and basic test equipment
- Basic understanding of Facilities topics, such as power types and connections and equipment cooling principles
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- 3 to 5+ years of experience setting up data centers, planning rack layouts and documenting as-built information
- Experience as a GFE Custodian
- Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools and some experience with Atlassian toolset
- Background that includes IP cable types and topologies
