Little Hoppers Daycare is a small business in West Bloomfield, MI. We are demanding, fun, inclusive and our goal is to create a happy and healthy environment for the kids! We are an in home daycare with currently 2 employees and up to 12 kids at a time. We are looking for one more employee.

Our Daycare Center is currently looking for a responsible Assistant to meet the needs of the children in our care. Assistant responsibilities include preparing and serving meals, changing diapers, simple household work, as well as keeping the kids engaged. All of our assistants must have previous experience working with children and willingness to go through a background check. We are looking for people who are compassionate, hard-working, responsible, enthusiastic and reliable. We want you to show initiative when it comes to helping the kids fulfill their needs. In addition to academic skills, we look for characters with good communication skills, patience and cultural sensitivity.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet children and parents on arrival.
- Ensure that children are happy and comfortable throughout their day and actively assist in any activity.
- Ensure that children are fed
- Help children use bathroom/change diapers
- Observe and report any irregularities to senior staff members in a timely manner.
- Follow safety procedures regarding dangerous items and communicate any issues to senior staff members.
- Keep toddlers safe by physically restraining them or escorting them to a safe place if needed.
- Play with older children.
- Teach arts and crafts (e.g. painting, drawing) at the toddler level.
- Take care of younger children.
- Provide basic first-aid if necessary.
- Complete relevant paperwork after the day is over.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
