Teacher
Responsibilities
- Oversee safety and supervision of children, following all NYS rules and regulations
- Assist with creation and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Follow teacher plans and classroom daily duties
- Maintain a safe and educational environment at all times
- Support other classrooms as needed to provide coverage for staff breaks and staff absences
- Maintain classrooms and shared spaces
- Keep records of each child’s progress, interests and any problems that may occur
- Maintain contact with the children’s parents and contacting them in the case of an emergency

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Previous child care experience preferred-- Make sure to list your experience on your resume or cover letter.
- Must meet any additional state specific guidelines (fingerprinting, background check); applicants and new hires can be rejected or terminated based on an unacceptable background check
Pay:
- Base rate of $15, increases with experience and relevant educational degrees

Schedule:
- Both full and part time positions available (M-F, 7am-5pm)

Columbia Children’s Center, an independent nonprofit community daycare center for children ages six weeks to five years old, is seeking qualified candidates for teacher positions. CCC is licensed by New York State Office of Children and Family Services and operates year-round with six classrooms and a team of qualified, experienced teachers who follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum, including daily outdoor play.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
