Centerville Dental Center is looking to add a Dental Assistant that is open to cross training at the front desk to our team!
New Grads welcome! Willing to train the right candidate! Must have an active Ohio X-ray license to be considered.

Office Hours:
- Monday: 8:00 am - 05:00 pm
- T/W/TH: 7:00 am - 04:00 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am - 01:00 pm
- Saturday-Sunday: Closed
Preferred Qualification:
- Willing to cross-train front desk
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Self Motivated, Punctual,Team Player
- Open Dental Experience Preferred
- Proficiency in dental assistant terminology and procedures
Essential Functions:
- Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse
- Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol, and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Helping patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
- Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.
- Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
- Taking impressions of patient's teeth for study casts (models of teeth)
- Performing office management tasks that often require the use of a personal computer
- Communicating with patients and suppliers (e.g., scheduling appointments, answering the telephone, billing, and ordering supplies)
- Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties, including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and oral surgery.
- Follow properly issued instructions/directions regarding patient flow and manage the flow of patients to schedule/maximize the doctor’s time if applicable.
License:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- X-Ray Certification (Required)
- Nitrous Monitoring (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
