Our Dental Hygienist position will require strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping others. The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative work style, a positive attitude, a professional manner, and a strong work ethic. Other essential characteristics include amazing customer service, attention to detail, confidence in problem-solving, and an ability to self-motivate.

Office Hours: Mon-Thurs 8-5 (must be able to start by 7:45 am) + Every/Other Friday

Responsibilities

• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
• Sterilize dental instruments properly
• Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
• Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
• Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
• Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
• Take X-rays and intraoral pictures
• Support & promote recommended treatment
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Monitor supplies

Skills

• Experience as Dental Hygienist
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession
• Ability to prepare and maintain your dental instruments
• Outstanding communication skills
• A patient and friendly personality
• Attention to detail
• Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
• Valid license to practice Dental Hygiene

Pay: $42.00 - $50.00 per hour
