Detective Job at Monmouth Park Racetrack
Monmouth Park Racetrack, established in 1946 along the Jersey Shore in Oceanport, is one of New Jersey’s most historic and recognizable landmarks. Monmouth Park plays host to world-class Thoroughbred racing May through September, and is the summer home to 1,600 horses and more than 2,000 employees.

Monmouth Park has an opening for the position of Detective (this is a seasonal position during the racing season - May to mid September).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations/inspections of the Backstretch stable area of the Racetrack.
- Process and evaluate information received.
- Prepare accurate and detailed reports
- Maintain security and confidentiality of information created or encountered in the performance of assigned duties.
- Recognize and report situation/conditions that are potentially dangerous.
- Adhere to work schedule.
- Follow company policies and procedures as described in the company handbook.
Qualifications:
- Previous security experience necessary.
- Retired police officer preferred.
- Ability to interact with the public in a direct and professional manner.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (orally and in writing).
- Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish a plus.
- Must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to pass background/drug screening.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 per hour
