Tech7, a small Government Contractor, is currently looking to hire a Development Operations (DevOps) Engineering Lead with at least 6 years experience. Experience and familiarity in Agile software development, Technical understanding of software development, DevSecOps principles and practices and leadership skills are a must. A highly skilled professional who has previous experience in federal Government contracts and processes is desired.
Title: Development Operations (DevOps) Engineering Lead – Colorado Springs, CO
Position description: Key member of a collaborative, integrated federal Government/contractor R&D team that develops, tests, and deploys specialized, high-impact software applications using Agile methodologies in a DevSecOps environment.
Responsibilities include:

Taking a leading role in the technical and programmatic actions to establish, optimize, and utilize a fully functional DevSECOps pipeline that supports the lab’s R&D mission. Work closely with the Government customer and integrated product teams, consisting of Government contractor personnel, and to implement DevSecOps capabilities.

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a multi-team or cross-functional organization.

Participate in the strategic decisions on technology, definition, and implementation of the software products.

Plan, direct, and coordinate all activities associated with software deliveries across multiple functional areas and products.

Prioritize and allocate projects, products, and resources for Dragon Army Teams.

Manage development, integration, and execution of tools designed to assess and improve the utility of applications.

Plan and execute programmatic actions to acquire and manage third-party initiatives. Efforts include support contracts to evolve and optimize the DevSecOps pipeline, plus R&D projects for implementation on the DevSecOps pipeline.
Position Requirements:

Minimum 6 years of experience in current software development processes -
Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-focused environment required

Secret clearance required. Top Secret desired. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

US citizenship required.

Hybrid on-site/remote work schedule available (average 2-3 times/wk at Government site in Colorado Springs )
Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required. Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical degrees preferred.
