EquipmentShare is searching for a Device Readiness Associate to help support our Telematics Warehouse Operations team in Kansas City, KS.

EquipmentShare seeks a Device Readiness Associate to join our team full time, who will be responsible for the powering up of low-voltage telematics devices, performing firmware and configuration updates over-the-air (OTA) or via USB or serial connection according to current specifications and customer requirements, to ensure that all hardware sent to customers is "field ready". In addition to hardware programming, candidates will be responsible for quality inspections of devices and wiring harnesses as they are received. As a Device Readiness Associate, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and continually expand a comprehensive understanding of our products/services and how they are used by our customers.
  • Provisioning, assembling, basic programming and configuring hardware in support of kitting and customer fulfillment needs
  • Troubleshooting and triage of issues as they arise in the readiness and provisioning process
  • Communicate with cross functional teams (quality, development, support) to stay updated on device versioning requirements, hardware changes and issues
  • Perform quality inspections on inbound products
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by utilizing the company's inventory management system
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Work Experience and Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and work orders
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with telematics or consumer electronics devices
  • Familiar with tools such as wire cutters, crimpers, volt meters, etc.
  • A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment required
  • Experience with an inventory management system preferred
  • Experience with PC and PC applications including command line programming tools

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, including the use of ladders and material handling equipment.
