About the Position

The Nephrology Registered Nurse works at our Dialysis Center to prevent disease and assess the health needs of our patients affected with acute or chronic kidney disease. You will serve as an integral part of our multidisciplinary team to care for patients with complex needs related to their kidneys and dialysis. When a patient arrives, you will need to assess the patient's vital signs, vascular access, and lab findings as well as verify the patient is taking their prescribed medications. The Nephrology Nurse also will assess, prepare, and cannulate the patient's vascular access via needle insertion or grafts. During the treatment, you will oversee the process and monitor the patient's reactions to the treatment. The Dialysis RN also oversees the preparation and maintenance of the dialysis delivery system, dialysate bath, dialyzer, and other needed equipment.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
  • BSN preferred
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• 1 year of nursing experience
