We are a medium sized trucking company located in Bolingbrook, IL. We are family owned and operated. We are currently looking for an experienced, SEMI-TRUCK DIESEL MECHANIC.

Compensation – BASED ON EXPERIENCE;

Employment Type – Full Time (Monday – Friday) Days

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Performs diesel truck repairs and completes all assignments as required

· Advanced level mechanic requiring no supervision

· Safety is a priority. All rules and regulations must be followed at all times.

· Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software programs associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair time.

· Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems.

· Conducts safety checks on vehicles.

· All other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge and Skills:

· Performs repairs, preventive maintenance & DOT inspections

· Advanced knowledge of Air Brakes & 5th wheel repairs

· Advanced knowledge of Steering and Suspension

· Advanced knowledge of Hydraulic Systems

· Advanced knowledge of Drive Train components

· Advanced knowledge of Electrical Systems

Minimum Qualifications:

· Previous work experience with knowledge of Diesel truck repair

· Basic computer skills necessary

· Must have own tools

Experience:

• Diesel Mechanic: 3 years (Required)

Skills:

• Computer literacy

• Diagnostics

3+ years working on semi-tractors and trailers, must be able to lift 25+ lbs., must have a valid driver’s license, must have own tools, flexible schedule, effective oral & written communication skills, ability to work with software programs such as alignment/balancing machines, ability to multi-task.

Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F. Some Saturdays are required, Pay based on experience
