Sunnyside Care Center is actively looking for Dietary Aides and Cooks to join our nutritional service team. As a Dietary Aide/Cook, you will be responsible for providing nutritious, palatable and presentable meals to our residents and patients.
Responsibilities:
-Follow and assist with development and implementation of departmental goal, policy and procedures guidelines.
-Follow all sanitary and safety policy and procedure guidelines.
-Prepare daily nourishments for residents.
-Assist in preparing breakfast, lunch and supper line.
-Pull and combine (if needed) juice and shakes.
-Keep a clean work area and complete daily cleaning checklist.
-Help with weekly supply orders such as canned goods, frozen and dry goods, paper products, etc.
-Supervises all dietary aides (when working as a cook).
-Identify and date, rotate and use leftovers skillfully helping to prevent food waste.
-Participates in set up of special buffets, parties, etc.
-Completes supervisor checklist daily.
-Provide back-up coverage for the Department Head and dietary team as needed.
-Performs all other appropriate duties assigned by the Director of Dietary Services.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
