The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of a Dietary Cook:

• Prepare high-quality food items per standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery while maintaining correct portioning, temperature, taste, and attractiveness of the food.
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records from the work area during service periods.
• Clean the kitchen after preparation and serving, store or discard excess food adhering to safe food-handling procedures, and keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed and assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies and immediately report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings and maintain good working relationships with coworkers, patients, administrators, and directors.
• Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment, deliver food trays or snacks to rooms, assist with cleaning tasks, and perform other duties as assigned.

The followings are the requirements and qualifications for a Dietary Cook:

• High school diploma or GED certificate, a food handler's card, and experience with food preparation and nutrition.
• 1-2 years of prior dietary cook experience preferred but not required, with 2 years of experience in the kitchen or as a cook.
• Positions at this location require proof of COVID-19 vaccination, boosters, and/or regular COVID testing. All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered. Applicants who are offered a position may be asked about their vaccination status, which must meet minimum business requirements, where permitted by law.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
