This is a group home position in a normal house, located in a regular neighborhood in Seaside. These positions call for a person to have a calm temperament, to be open to learning new aspects of human psychology, and people who are comfortable maintaining a clean work environment. Our residents are ambulatory adults with developmental disabilities, between the ages of 18-59.

Starting salary:

$17.50 without a driver’s license or without a clean driving record (no major tickets or accidents in the past two years)

$18.50 with a driver’s license and a clean driving record

After six months of successful employment, pay will be increased by 50 cents per hour

As the state increases the funding for the facility, employees will be given raises accordingly.

Qualifications.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) certifications (preferred)

if not already certified, must complete Year 1 training within first year and Year 2 training within 2nd year of employment (required)

CPR Certification (preferred) Can be completed after employment

Clearances (TB, criminal record, and health screening, finger printing required)

Ability to effectively communicate orally and written

Ability to respect confidentiality of all clients, staff, and facility records

Valid driver’s license, you will use company vans to drive clients to appointments, day programs, and schedule activities.

Ability to organize workload and provide excellent service and care
