SUMMARY: The Director of Cardiopulmonary is responsible and accountable for driving the strategy for the Cardiopulmonary service lines (Respiratory Care, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab, Cardiac Lab, Sleep Center/Neurodiagnostics, and Sleep DME), providing direction, supervision and support for staff, and ensuring efficient business operations at all times. Specific areas of responsibility include, oversees the delivery of safe, high quality and cost effective care; ensures efficient utilization of available resources to meet productivity and financial goals; works collaboratively with leadership team, providers and staff to enhance communication, share pertinent information and improve processes/outcomes; inspires a shared vision and demonstrates the benefits of change initiatives; serves as a role model for staff by upholding professional standards, having a positive attitude and engaging the team; challenges current processes and enable others to promote change by providing support, mentorship and guidance to staff; holds staff accountable for their professional responsibilities and adherence to regulatory guidelines and organizational standards and performs duties and responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the organization’s mission, purpose and values.
BAXTER HEALTH COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Understands and adheres to Baxter Health standards as they appear in Dynamic Health and Healthstream Policy Manager. Required to work with the VP, Ancillary Services regularly to carryout, initiate and/or implement best practices for the Baxter Health Cardiopulmonary Department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate Degree in Respiratory Care required.
Experience: Minimum three (3) years of related work experience, previous leadership and healthcare experience required.
Registration: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care
License: Current Arkansas Respiratory Care license in good standing.
Certification: ACLS, BLS
Preferred: Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or other related field preferred.

- Highly motivated and able to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace environment and under demanding situations
- Excellent customer service, as well as organization and written/oral communication skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate with physicians, staff and patients
- Ability to meet deadlines in completion of projects or assignments. Demonstrates responsibility to follow up on matters requiring additional attention.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Cerner and other organization systems

This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

Ability to use computer, monitor or similar screen, keyboard and/or mouse daily. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity with or without correction. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
5 days a week, Monday – Friday, 40+ hours per week and 24/7 responsibility.
